No offers for Jansen

Borussia Monchengladbach insist they have received no offers for Marcell Jansen.

Borussia Monchengladbach insist they have received no offers for Arsenal target Marcell Jansen.

The left back was rumoured to have been watched by Gunners legend Tony Adams at the weekend as Gladbach drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg.

Jansen's father claims to have fielded an offer from a major European club, with speculation suggesting Arsenal are the youngster's suitors.

The Germany youth international is tipped for a bright future and Arsene Wenger is always on the lookout to add to his burgeoning crop of talent at Highbury.

Wenger has yet to make a concrete move for the defender, with Gladbach adamant there has been no strong interest in Jansen.

The full back is believed to be rated in the ‚é¼15 million category (£10 million) by his club, who are aware that every player has his price.

"Nowadays, you can buy anything," Gladbach sporting director Peter Pander told Sport1.de, "but no offers exist at the moment.

"The player has also said that he knows nothing of this.

"If something comes up, we must always talk about it but, as it stands at the moment, that discussion is far away."
