Arsenal full back Gael Clichy looks to have broken his foot whilst on international duty.Arsenal's injury problems show no signs of abating as Gael Clichy looks to have broken his foot.
The 20-year-old sustained the problem whilst on international duty with France's Under-21s last week and has now been forced to return to North London.
Should it be confirmed that Clichy has broken a bone in his foot, then Arsenal would be lucky to see him back in action again this year.
The injury to Clichy now provides manager Arsene Wenger with a real headache as he was already standing in for Ashley Cole - who is also suffering from a fractured foot.
Wenger is going to have to look around his squad for a makeshift left back with few options springing to mind.
The obvious stand-in would have been Justin Hoyte - but he is on a season-long loan at Sunderland and is unavailable.
Any one of Lauren, Pascal Cygan, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue - all right sided players - could now be asked to fill in, although Wenger may consider promoting a youngster to the first team picture with Mitchell Murphy the most likely candidate.
