Spanish keeper Manuel Almunia has admitted he might need to leave Arsenal.
Manuel Almunia has admitted he might need to leave Arsenal in order to obtain regular first team football.
The Spaniard has played second fiddle to number one Jens Lehmann but gets a rare chance to impress in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League tie with Ajax, live on Sky Sports Xtra.
With Mart Poom's loan from Sunderland due to expire in January, Arsene Wenger is unlikely to want to allow Almunia to leave before the end of the season, at the earliest.
However, the 28-year-old is itching to oust Lehmann and will move on if he cannot achieve this goal.
"I will try to be number one," he told Sky Sports News. "If it is not possible, then life doesn't stop here.
"There are thousands of teams worldwide."
