Gunners 'hold Rosicky talks'

Tomas Rosicky's agent says he has been in dialogue with English outfit Arsenal.

Tomas Rosicky's agent says he has held talks with Arsenal regarding a move for the Borussia Dortmund star.

The Czech international's future has been the subject of frenzied speculation after an off-on move to Atletico Madrid, although the midfield maestro has indicated his preference is to move to Highbury.

The Gunners have already spent big in January by signing Vassiriki Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Adebayor, as well as closing in on Southampton sensation Theo Walcott, and Wenger shows no signs of slowing in his squad rebuilding process.

Rosicky's representative Janos Toth has fuelled speculation by stating: "I am in touch with Arsenal officials", whilst Rosicky himself has again restated his desire to move to Highbury.

The gifted playmaker could follow in Alexander Hleb's footsteps by leaving the Bundesliga to join Wenger's project, and Rosicky has stated he is ready to try his hand in The Premiership.

"I know about Arsenal's interest, its something we are pursing," Rosicky is quoted as saying in The News of the World.

"English football will be a great challenge."

Meanwhile, Gunners star Jose Antonio Reyes has revealed his concerns at Ashley Cole's possible departure from Highbury.

The England left-back has reportedly been identified as Real Madrid's number one transfer target for the summer, and Reyes has stated that losing Cole would be a massive blow for the London outfit.

"Cole leaving would be serious for us," said Reyes. "He is one of the most important members of the squad."
