Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana has invited Arsenal to make a move for him.Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana has invited Arsenal to make a move for him.
Arsenal have been linked with Emana after watching him in action on several occasions this season.
The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Europe after a number of eye-catching performances for Toulouse.
Emana claims Arsenal have registered an interest in his services and that he feels he would be the perfect replacement for former Gunners captain Patrick Vieira.
"Arsenal have lost a good player, I mean a star Patrick Vieira," Emana told skysports.com. "I could help them to secure the midfield.
"My agent has already told me Arsenal was interested and I know they have watched me play in Toulouse. But I don't want to dream I will waitǪ Madrid has never replaced Makelele. He was everything for them."
The Cameroon international admitted if he had the chance to join Arsenal it would be too good an opportunity to turn down.
"That would be great (to join Arsenal), but it is the coach who decides," added Emana.
"If Arsene Wenger asks me to sign, I won't say no, I would be very happy.
"It would be fantastic to play with Titi (Thierry Henry), (Jose Antonio) Reyes and Lauren who is from Cameroon, just like me.
"That is a superb team in spite of their actual difficulties.
"When you have the chance to be a Gunner you can't fail, you can't disappoint the fans."
Emana was close to leaving Toulouse in the last two years and he feels the time is right to move on for a new challenge.
"Every player of my age wants to progress," added Emana. "I would like to play in the Uefa Cup or in the UEFA Champions League every year.
"In 2004 I was about to sign for Paris Saint Germain, then in 2005 I was about to sign for Lyon, but on the last day their staff changed their mind.
"You know I want to see something else now. After having played for Valencia's Academy in Spain I joined Toulouse in 2001.
"I have played in the third and second division with them and for the last two or three years we always struggle to stay in Ligue 1.
"It is tiring to struggle until the last minute."
