Philippe Senderos says Scotland will be a good test for the Swiss.
Philippe Senderos believes Switzerland's friendly in Scotland will be a good test ahead of their World Cup campaign.
The Swiss visit Hampden Park on Wednesday to face Walter Smith's Scotland side as they start the build-up to Germany.
The Arsenal stopper says that an away match against Scotland will be a good test for the Swiss ahead of the World Cup.
"Scotland didn't qualify for the World Cup, but with the type of game they play it's going to be difficult, especially at home," Senderos told Sky Sports News.
"They have pressure on them from their fans - they have to get good results so it's going to be a good test."
The Swiss have been placed with France, South Korea and Togo in their World Cup group, and Senderos hopes to at least make it through the group phase.
"We are always outsiders, we have to take that as a plus and we have to look forward. We got quite a tough group with different types of football teams in there.
"We're going to be ready for it though and hopefully the qualities in the squad will help us get through the group."
On the domestic front, Senderos is happy with Arsenal's UEFA Champions League run, where they have recently beaten Real Madrid, but admits their Premiership away form is not good enough.
"I've been playing for Arsenal and we've done quite well in the Champions League lately but in the league we have not.
"We've been unlucky really away from home, we've played good football but not got the results. We're looking forward to the next game now and want to do well.
"We want to come back and be in the Champions League spots before the end of the season."
