Philippe Senderos is aiming to be fit for the World Cup and the Champions League final.
Philippe Senderos is aiming to be fit for the World Cup and the UEFA Champions League final.
The centre half picked up a knee injury during Arsenal's draw with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
The problem ruled the 21-year-old out of The Gunners' stalemate with Villarreal on Tuesday, which booked the club's place in the Champions League final.
Senderos is still awaiting full confirmation of the extent of the knee injury, which placed a question mark over his spot in the European showpiece against Barcelona on May 17.
But the stopper is confident he will be ready to line up against the Spanish champions in Paris next month and resume his partnership with Kolo Toure.
He also shrugged off concerns that he is a doubt for Switzerland's World Cup campaign and aims to be available to national team coach Kobi Kuhn.
"I hope it is not too serious and I will be fit before the end of the season," said Senderos.
Switzerland's first game in the World Cup is against France on June 13 in Stuttgart.
