Gilberto believes the next two games are crucial in Arsenal's season.
Gilberto believes the next two games are crucial in ensuring Arsenal's season does not peter out into insignificance.
After losing in both the FA Cup and Carling Cup in the past week, Arsene Wenger's side get back to Premiership action against Reading on Saturday.
The Gunners then have a crucial UEFA Champions League second leg tie against PSV Eindhoven, needing a win after a 1-0 defeat in Holland.
Having lost three games in a row, Gilberto is hoping for a confidence-boosting victory when The Royals visit Emirates Stadium this weekend.
"The last few games have been disappointing and the coming days won't be easy," Gilberto said in The Sun.
"We have to carry on, we have huge games coming up but it's hard because we have only a few days to save the rest of our season.
"I will speak to the young players and try to lift them because, for them, it is even more difficult.
"It's frustrating for them and hard because they are carrying all the responsibility for losing big games.
"But we need to stick together at this important time - and that applies to everyone, the young guys and also the older players.
"That is the only way that we can change our position."
