The highly-rated Nigerian striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League since training with Portsmouth in January.
His performances for Lyn Oslo have alerted the attention of several other top English clubs.
Capital rivals Spurs and Arsenal are believed to be leading the chase, having sent scouts to Norway to watch the 21-year-old in action against Rosenborg.
Ogbuke scored twice in Lyn Oslo's 2-1 victory to take his tally to the season to eight goals from 11 games.
Ogbuke is contracted to Lyn Oslo until the end of 2008 but reports in the English press suggest the Premier League pair are already battling it out to agree a deal for the player.
Liverpool have also been linked with a possible move for Ogbuke and agent John Shittu has confirmed he has a number of options.
Shittu said: "Many clubs are interested. We're looking for the best deal both socially and football-wise for his development."
