Gunners boss looking to keep owners happy

Arsene Wenger has promised to keep Arsenal's owners happy, regardless of whom they are.

The reaction comes after Red and White Holdings Limited, an investment vehicle co-owned by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, increased their stake in the club to 23 per cent.

Usmanov's holding is now just 7 per cent short of reaching a figure where he would be required to make an offer for the remaining shares.

However, Wenger is only concerning himself with matters on the pitch.

The Gunners are currently riding high at the top of the Premier League and the Arsenal boss is looking to keep whoever owns the club happy with their investment.

"Whatever happens at that level doesn't concern us all," Wenger said on Sky Sports News.

"We have a big responsibility to keep people who own the club happy, no matter who it is."
