Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas confesses that he would rather avoid Barcelona in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Fabregas was a member of the Camp Nou youth set-up and supported the Catalan giants before moving to England in 2003.
And ahead of Friday's draw, which can be seen live on Sky Sports News from 10.30am, the midfielder admits he does not want to come out of the hat with his former club in the knockout stages.
Barcelona won Group C while Arsenal finished second in Group G, making a meeting a possibility, but Fabregas is hoping to avoid a repeat of 2006 final.
"We can draw some very big teams," Fabregas told Sky Sports News. "We will see what happens. If you want to win this tournament you have to beat everyone
"I don't want them (Barcelona) to be honest.
"But whenever you say that you don't want someone, you get them. So I would prefer not to say anything."
Meanwhile, Gunners defender Gael Clichy is confident Arsenal have the ability in their squad to go one step further than their final defeat to Barcelona two years ago.
"At this stage of the competition all the teams are great teams," said Clichy.
"We will have to play our best football and if we play our best football we have a chance to win.
"I am really confident in the squad we have and the quality."
