Arsenal striker Eduardo will make his return to elite-level football for Croatia on Wednesday.
The Brazilian-born player horrifically broke his leg in a Premier League match with Birmingham a year ago. He has recently played in Arsenal's reserve side but has not made an appearance for the first team since he suffered the injury.
However, Croatia manager Slaven Bilic is adamant Eduardo is back to full fitness ahead of their friendly with Romania.
"The main thing, even regarding the national team is that he's fit, he's healthy, he's got no problems, he's (been) training for three weeks now," Bilic told Sky Sports News.
"He played a couple of games for the reserves. I was with Mr Wenger in that training camp last week when they played West Ham and he's alright.
"I think he's going to play for, I don't know, half an hour, more or less. It's great to have him back."
Bilic's men are five points behind England in World Cup qualifying Group 7 and face a tough task if they are to make it to the finals.
"We sorely missed Eduardo, especially in the Euro 2008 finals, hence his return will be a major boost in our bid to qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa," assistant manager Aljosa Asanovic said.
