Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes his players are ready for their next test of character ahead of their meeting with Villarreal.
The Gunners are to lock horns with the Spanish side at Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie, having drawn the first meeting 1-1.
Wenger's side are currently unbeaten in 18 Premier League matches and they face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
The Frenchman has praised his side's quality and is confident ahead of a crunch week for his charges.
He said on Sky Sports: "The team has shown great mental strength through the whole season and we have another good opportunity to show those mental strengths.
"I believe the determination, the hunger and the quality is there. We now face test after test.
"What makes me confident is that recently in every single game when the odds were against us we have found the resources within the team and a strong response."
Of his team's approach against Villarreal, he said: "Our approach is to win the game. It is as simple as that. I don't feel we are used to going into a game trying to play for 0-0."
Wenger went on to confirm that full-back Gael Clichy and centre-back Johan Djourou will be absent on Wednesday, but midfielder Abou Diaby could be involved.
He added: "Both of them are unfortunately out. We will have a scan today on Djourou's knee problem. We fear it could be cartilage, but we will see. Diaby is in the squad."
