Manuel Almunia insists Arsenal are still capable of securing a place in the UEFA Champions League final.
The Gunners' hopes of reaching the Rome showpiece were dealt a blow on Wednesday as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Manchester United in the first leg of their semi-final.
It could have been worse for Arsene Wenger's men, though, as the Red Devils dominated for long periods at Old Trafford.
Only the heroics of Almunia kept the scoreline respectable, allowing Arsenal to remain in touching distance of their opponents heading into the return meeting.
The Spaniard accepts that he was busier than he would have liked against the reigning European champions, but insists Sir Alex Ferguson's side are beatable at Emirates Stadium.
"It was difficult first half because Manchester United were playing very strong and attacking with everything. We were a bit asleep at that moment." Almunia told Sky Sports.
"I was very busy during the first half, but you always expect that when you come to Old Trafford. You expect to soak up a lot of attacking with a lot of fantastic players in front of you.
"We did expect that before the game, but in the second half they were a bit tired and Arsenal have shown that they can beat them."
