Full-back stays on as Carole returns for a third time

Brighton & Hove Albion have extended Gavin Hoyte's loan until the end of the season and signed Seb Carole for a third time. Hoyte has spent the past three months on loan at the Withdean Stadium from Arsenal and has made 14 appearances so far for the Seagulls. The full-back has been training with Gus Poyet's side since the expiry of his initial loan, but will now see out the campaign with the League One club. Poyet told the club's official website: "He is young and there is plenty to come. We want to help him become a Premier League player or top Championship player." Meanwhile, Poyet has also agreed a deal to sign French winger Carole on a week-to-week contract after he impressed in training. Carole is now a Brighton player for the third time in his career and has been training with the club following a brief spell at Tranmere Rovers earlier in the season.
