Arsene Wenger is confident Arsenal's FA Cup defeat by Manchester United will strengthen his team's resolve to win the Premier League title.
Arsenal's dreams of a potential quadruple have been wrecked in the past fortnight following defeat in the Carling Cup final, elimination from the Champions League and then being knocked out of the FA Cup.
However, the Gunners still have the chance to claim a first top-flight crown since 2004 and trail current leaders United by three points with a game in hand.
United have to visit Emirates Stadium in May and Wenger is aware that encounter could prove to be decisive in the title race.
Wenger, though, first wants his team to bounce back from successive defeats by Barcelona and United when Arsenal face West Brom next weekend.
"It will strengthen our resolve at home," said Wenger when asked about the title race.
"The Manchester United game [in the Premier League] is only important if we win our games before that.
"I am convinced that if that game is decisive, we have a good chance to do it at home.
"Before that, it's important we respond very quickly. We go to West Brom on Saturday, we will see the first signs of how we recover."
Arsenal's mental strength has been questioned of late and Wenger accepts it will be a test for his players in the coming weeks.
He added: "I believe that we can do it. It is a good test for us now, to show that we can regroup, show our mental strength and respond quickly.
"We have a week without a midweek game, that is the first time for a long time.
"You will find out. We will have to [answer] this type of question in the next few weeks. We have to show that we have an answer to that.
"We are used to being questioned by our environment, we have to show we are strong enough to deal with that."
