Defender's agent admits it may not be the right time to leave Red Bulls

USA international Tim Ream is to train with West Bromwich Albion and Bolton Wanderers, but could stay at New York Red Bulls. Ream is due to arrive in England later this week to spend a few days training with West Brom before heading on for a stint at Premier League rivals Bolton. The 24-year-old's agent Patrick McCabe admits Ream is keen to play in Europe, but conceded the defender may opt to remain in Major League Soccer for a little longer. "Both clubs have admired Tim for some time and it affords both parties a chance to see each other up close," McCabe told MLSsoccer.com.

Good opportunity

"Roy Hodgson and Owen Coyle are top managers and, above all, this will be a good opportunity for Tim's professional development. "But Red Bull has maintained that Tim is an important piece of the club for next season. "Tim certainly is interested in moving to Europe but at the right time and under the right conditions. But he still needs to play regularly and Red Bull currently provides that. "As he moves toward the end of his contract, I believe that there will be some interesting options for him in Europe in the future." Ream has been tracked by several clubs in recent seasons and McCabe revealed Arsenal saw an offer for the player rejected last year. McCabe added: "There are numerous teams that have been watching Tim for the last two years. "I won't comment on specific clubs at this time but they are from England, France, Holland, Scotland and Germany. "Arsenal did make an offer to purchase Tim at the end of the 2010 season. The offer was rejected and no further negotiations followed. "Red Bull was not interested in selling Tim at that time."
