Wolves boss admits he will be bringing in new faces in January

Mick McCarthy could be set to raid Arsenal's reserves when the transfer window swings open in January in a bid to add some bite to Wolves' midfield. The Molineux boss watched the Gunners lose 1-0 to Manchester City in the Carling Cup last week and was reportedly impressed by Emmanuel Frimpong and Francis Coquelin. But McCarthy admits any chance of landing new players of their quality on loan will depend on his side picking up more points over the coming weeks. He said: "We played Arsenal in the reserves and I watched them the other night against Manchester City. "Some players just need to play, so we can maybe get a loan player. If it can be done, we'll do it. "I think players do look at the table. They don't want to be in a relegation fight. Signing them is difficult though. They are always more expensive in January. "If we can do something, then great, but January isn't the greatest time to get players. But we're looking."
