The Gunners claimed derby spoils at Emirates Stadium courtesy of a 23rd-minute strike from Olivier Giroud.
Ramsey feels the hosts were full value for their narrow success, despite having to dig deep in order to get over the line.
The Welsh midfielder told Sky Sports: "I thought we had a tremendous game today. We worked ever so hard.
"The big man up front started us off first and the whole team did very well today - we didn't give them any space to play between the lines. We got the goal in the first half and defended ever so well. I thought we deserved the win in the end."
Match-winner Giroud added: "Everybody knows that this is a big game for us and we were really excited about this derby.
"We wanted to keep it up after our three wins and we deserved to win. We never gave up and we showed togetherness."
Arsenal are now expected to be busy on transfer deadline day, with Ramsey admitting that fresh faces would be welcome in a squad which still lacks depth.
He said of Arsene Wenger's plans: "He knows that we have got good quality in this team, and we have shown again today that we have an enormous amount of quality.
"Even though we are probably a bit short of numbers and that probably showed in the last 20 minutes of the game, we are a bit tired from all of the games we have played, but he believes in us and hopefully we have repaid him so far and we can continue this run that we are on at the moment.
"The manager has recognised that (recruits are required) and is trying to bring in some players. But he believes in the quality that we have and we have shown again what we are capable of doing."
