The Premier League leaders stretched their advantage at the top of the table to seven points on Saturday with a convincing 3-0 victory in south Wales.
Ramsey had been given a big build-up before the game, as he returned to face the club that helped to launch his career, and he did not disappoint.
The in-form midfielder found the target on two occasions, taking his tally for the season in all competitions to 15 and earning high praise from his beaming boss.
Wenger told Sky Sports: "I think that two or three years ago he wasn't capable of playing just his game.
"Everyone was impressed by the occasion, so it just shows you how mature he is now. He just came here today, played his game as he does usually and scored two great goals."
Ozil was another to catch the eye in Arsenal's latest outing, with the £42million man providing two assists - a cross for Ramsey's opener and a perfectly-weighted pass for Mathieu Flamini to double the Gunners' lead.
Wenger said of the German schemer: "Mesut has that in him, at any moment he can kill you with a pass.
"Today, even though he was one of those players that looked a little bit tired at some stage, overall the team was efficient."
Wenger believes his side were full value for their comprehensive success, with their title credentials enhanced further at a ground which has already seen Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City drop points this term.
The Frenchman added: "Very big satisfaction because we did a very good defensive performance and were in control of the game in a place where many teams suffer.
"Overall, we kept the concentration right and it was a convincing 3-0."
