"I give the honour to the players," said Olsen. "They offered fantastic combinations and superb goals which you seldom experience at such a high level.
"They were never under pressure since they were concentrated and kept the ball well.
"They played Iceland off the pitch and it was a brilliant display."
Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen was almost lost for words after achieving World Cup qualification.
"It's truly impossible to describe in words," said Gravesen. "Everyone had asked for a splendid display in Parken and that we pulled off with authority."
PSV Eindhoven winger Dennis Rommedahl, who opened the scoring for the home side, admitted it was fantastic to make the World Cup.
"It wasn't hard, but indeed important," said Rommedahl. "It was fantastic to get to score that early. That gave us confidence and put us on track"
"To play at the World Cup is the biggest thing for a footballer. I rejoice and actually believe we have got a good chance"
Sunderland goalkeeper Thomas Sörensen had one of his quietest nights for Denmark and he admitted he was glad that they did not have to go into a play-off to reach Japan and South Korea.
"It was one of the most brilliant internationals in Parken in many years," said Sorensen. "We have reached the World Cup in style and it would have been horrible to have had to go out for a playoff clash."
