Radzinski named in Canadian squad

CANADA have announced their 16-man squad for next Tuesday's friendly against Scotland at Easter Road.

Manager Holger Osieck has picked all but two players that were involved in the team that defeated Switzerland 3-1 in a friendly in St Gallen in May.

Everton striker Tomasz Radzinski is included in Osieck's line-up, as the former Anderlecht hit-man will look to add to the two goals he scored for his country in the Switzerland friendly last spring.

The squad also includes three Scottish Premier League players in Hibernian defender Paul Fenwick, Hearts midfielder/striker Kevin McKenna and Livingston striker Davide Xausa.

Osieck has also included three English-based players in Tottenham's reserve goalkeeper Lars Hirschfeld, Wigan defender and Canadian captain Jason de Vos and Nottingham Forest winger Jim Brennan.

Only three North American-based players are in the squad to face the Scots, as Osieck has opted to go with a combination of youth and experience against Berti Vogts's struggling Tartan Army next week.

Canadian squad:

Lars Hirschfeld (Tottenham Hotspur), Pat Onstad (Rochester Raging Rhinos); Paul Fenwick (Hibernian) Jason de Vos (Wigan Athletic), Chris Pozniak (Orebro), Richard Hastings (GAK Graz), Kevin McKenna (Hearts), Martin Nash (Rochester Raging Rhinos), Tam Nsaliwa (Saarbrucken), Daniel Imhof (St Gallen), Paul Stalteri (Werder Bremen), Julian de Guzman (Hannover 96), Jim Brennan (Nottingham Forest); Davide Xausa (Livingston), Dwayne de Rosario (San Jose Earthquakes), Tomasz Radzinski (Everton)
