The 22-year-old is on a season long loan from Marseille but Moyes is determined to make it a permanent deal after Yobo's impressive start to life on Merseyside.
Yobo has started The Toffees' last five games after seeing his first few months at Everton interrupted by injury and his performances have attracted a lot of interest.
Everton have first option on signing Yobo from Marseille at the end of the season and Moyes is keen to beat off any potential suitors by agreeing a permanent deal to take him to Goodison Park
"It is not something we are overly concerned about just now but we have something agreed for the end of the season when that comes around. We do have first option," said Moyes.
"His performances have been very good and he's going to get better.
"You can't be the best centre-half around at 21 but you might be at 25 or 26 and even at 30 you can improve because by then you can understand and read the game more.
"He has learning to do, but he is certainly capable of playing at the top level."
Despite Everton's recent good form Moyes is refusing to get carried away knowing a lot of work still needs to be done.
"It's always nice being a player when people are patting you on the back," said Moyes. "But I am not going to get carried away and all I'm looking to do this season is progress."
