He is likely to join several players leaving the Merseyside outfit as no fewer than ten players are out of contract at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old is well down the pecking order at Everton behind Wayne Rooney, Duncan Ferguson, Tomasz Radzinski and Kevin Campbell and has twice been loaned out this season and has played just 15 times since making his debut in September 2001.
Chadwick admits he is hoping to go out on loan again before the end of the season to put himself in the shop window.
"First-team football is most definitely still in my mind," he said. "I think it will be the case that I will probably go somewhere else.
"I have got to look at my career. I am 21 now and I have not played regular first-team football since the little run that I got at the end of 2002.
"But I have got to always look at the positive side of things and if I go out on loan and do really well I can do a lot of good for myself."
