The Scottish international is considering his future at Goodison Park with his current contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Naysmith could leave Everton next summer on a free transfer if he decides not to sign a new deal.
A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring Naysmith's situation at Everton and the player's agent Jim McArthur admitted The Toffees' latest offer had been rejected by the full back.
"The latest offer from Everton has been rejected," McArthur told skysports.com.
"The offer was rejected last week before Gary went away on international duty with Scotland.
"As far as I am concerned things are ongoing, but I have not spoken to anyone from Everton since the latest offer.
"Gary is keeping his options open and one of them is Everton and anyway nothing could happen until January."Everton chief executive Keith Wyness remains hopeful that the club can agree a deal with Naysmith.
"Discussions between ourselves and Gary's representatives are continuing and we are looking at the possibility of extending his contract," said Wyness.
