The Everton striker moved to Goodison Park in January when The Toffees paid Southampton £6 million for his signature.
However, Beattie managed just two goals in five months as the start of his Goodison career was blighted by both injury and suspension.
Beattie is now already looking to next season to make a real impact on Merseyside.
"I have proven I can score goals, people can doubt me all they want - they can doubt Everton all they want," Beattie said.
"But I will show them, we will show them.
"I feel that I owe myself something. Whatever people say about me I will just stuff it down their throats when they see how many goals I've got. That's what I am going to do."
Beattie insists that if he can do it in the UEFA Champions League, then he will revive his England chances.
"The aim for me is to make my name in the Champions League," he added to The Mirror.
"Then the England manager will have to look at me.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me and that's why I am going to arrive at pre-season training fit and sharp.
"I am going to leave nothing to chance, I haven't become a bad player overnight."
