Moyes eyes Milan keeper

Everton are eyeing another Italian swoop in the form of Milan's Christian Abbiati.

Everton are eyeing another Italian target in the form of Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati.

David Moyes is already looking at Roma defender Matteo Ferrari, and is considering a second swoop on Serie A.

Discussions are due to take place with Roma in the next few days, and The Toffees could also speak to Milan about Abbiati.

The Rossoneri shot-stopper has already said he is looking to leave San Siro for a chance of more regular action, and has not discounted a move abroad.

A swap deal with Palermo involving Matteo Guardalben has fallen through and now a switch to Goodison Park could be a real possibility for the 27-year-old.

A fee of around ‚é¼4 million would need to be offered to prise Abbiati away from the Italian giants, but Moyes does have funds available after getting his side into the UEFA Champions League.

Moyes is also considering a £2 million swoop for Grazer AK midfielder Rene Aufhauser, who faced Liverpool in last year's Champions League.

The 28-year-old Austrian has been a regular for his side and Moyes is weighing up adding him to his squad for the coming campaign.
