Everton targets unfazed

Everton's targets are unfazed by speculation linking them with a move to Goodison.

Everton targets Mohamed Sissoko and Emiliano Moretti both claim they want to remain with Valencia.

David Moyes has confirmed he is hopeful of snaring the Mestalla duo but the players seem content to fight for their places in La Liga, if granted the opportunity.

The Merseysiders have earmarked the Valencia pair as ideal reinforcements ahead of their assault on the UEFA Champions League.

However, the players have spoken to Valencia's official website and seem happy in Spain.

"There is a lot of competition and you must work hard so the coach chooses you," said striker Sissoko.

"I am very happy. I want to continue here to succeed.

"I am here to play and do good things. Right now, I am well and tactically we are working well."

Moretti also affirmed his desire to fight for a left back slot rather than head for pastures new.

"Up to now, I am happy," he stated.

"My intention is to remain here because I have had a very pretty year. I like Valencia and the best thing for me is to remain here.

"I feel part of the team and, for now, I do not have doubts.

"I do not know anything; neither does my agent."

The decision to replace coach Antonio Lopez with Quique Sanchez Flores has boosted Moretti's hopes of earning a regular place.

"Last year, I played with [Claudio] Ranieri but I stopped doing it with Lopez," he admitted.

"The coach is the one who decides."
