Per Kroldrup has spoken to Sky Sports News about his move to Everton.Everton new boy Per Kroldrup has told Sky Sports News that he is confident of settling in quickly to life in The Premiership.
The sturdy Danish stopper follows in a long line of players who have swapped Scandinavia for England and is of the opinion that he has all the attributes to succeed at Goodison Park.
Kroldrup arrives on Merseyside from Udinese with the words of former Everton midfielder and international team-mate Thomas Gravesen ringing in his ears.
The tough-tackling Real Madrid man established himself as a firm fans' favourite during his time at the UEFA Champions League new boys and Kroldrup is hopeful of doing likewise.
''I spoke with Tommy some time ago,'' Kroldrup told Sky Sports News.
''At the last national game I spoke to him and he only has positive things to say about the club.
''Obviously it was very important. It is always helpful to talk to a guy who you know about a club like this.
''I think Danish players are like English players. Always give everything when they are on the pitch.
''I think that is a key element of the game here in England.''
Toffees chief David Moyes has enjoyed a busy summer in the transfer market and another new signing, Simon Davies, has explained the reasons behind his own switch from Tottenham.
The talented Wales international admits that he had perhaps gone a little stale at White Hart Lane and that he is already looking forward to a fresh challenge and European football.
''I had five great years at Tottenham but in the last couple struggled with injuries and a bit of a lack of form,'' said Davies.
''It excited me - this new challenge - and I just can't wait to get it going.
''I had four more years left on my contract there and was more than happy to stay.
''There was a new manager and new players and it was a really exciting time last season.
''But, just personally, five years is a long time.
''I needed a fresh challenge and as soon as I knew Everton were interested - there is not a better club to be at at the minute.
''The whole thing is really exciting and I'm very honoured that they tried to buy me.''
