Preston manager Billy Davies has revealed his players are interesting other clubs.
Preston manager Billy Davies has revealed that a number of his players are attracting interest from rival clubs, with Sheffield United recently rebuffed in a bid for striker Richard Cresswell.
Davies also confirmed that he has received an enquiry from David Moyes's Everton for Jamaican midfielder Dickson Etuhu.
The former Motherwell manager told Sky Sports News: "We have turned down a bid for Richard Cresswell from Sheffield United and Everton enquired about Dickson Etuhu.
"Moyesie phoned us about Dickson but it was no more than an enquiry; no bid was made and as far as we're concerned that deal is dead."
Davies is hoping to hold on to his key players as he looks to build on last season's impressive fifth-placed finish but knows the financial implications facing North End.
He said: "There's one or two players gathering a bit of interest but we have to focus on our job and prepare ourselves to get results for Preston.
"We have financial constraints compared to some other bigger clubs but we just have to deal with that and work with the players that we've got."
