David Moyes has picked up the Barclays Manager of the Month award.
David Moyes, who has scooped the Barclays Manager of the Month award, claims Richard Wright's absence opens the door to young Iain Turner.
Wright damaged his ankle during the warm-up in the midweek FA Cup defeat to Chelsea with Turner deputising in the 4-1 defeat.
Moyes may have been celebrating picking up the Barclays award after a fine month saw them win three times and draw at Wigan, but his focus is very much on Saturday's clash with Blackburn Rovers.
"Richard's going to be out for a few weeks, certainly," he told Sky Sports News.
"He's having a scan today to see if there's any more damage.
"We had him X-Rayed immediately on Wednesday and there's no break, but he's done his ligaments in his ankle and that will keep him out for a few weeks.
"In a way, that's how football goes. Injured players aren't important to any manager when they are injured.
"So it gives Iain Turner, who I think is a great prospect, a great opportunity.
"He's a good keeper, the goals at Chelsea were certainly not his fault and, if you ask all the professionals around here what they think of Iain Turner, they would all speak very highly of him."
