David Moyes is confident Matteo Ferrari will sign for Everton permanently.
Everton manager David Moyes is confident that Matteo Ferrari will make his loan move from Roma into a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
The Toffees have already held preliminary talks with the player who has been restricted to just 12 appearances through injury.
Ferrari has impressed Moyes nonetheless and the Scot is optimistic of being able to call on the player again next season.
"The word I am hearing is yes, he wants to stay," claimed Moyes.
Meanwhile, James Vaughan, The Premiership's youngest ever goalscorer, could be set to undergo another operation to cure a troublesome knee injury.
Vaughan travelled to Colorado on Monday to consult with world-renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman.
The player sustained knee ligament damage while on duty for England Under-18s last September and has already had one operation to remove cartilage from his knee.
