Basel have landed South African winger Delron Buckley on a season-long loan.
Basel have landed South African winger Delron Buckley on a season-long loan from Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old joins the Swiss giants for the rest of current season after failing to impress Premiership sides Everton and Sheffield United during trial spells this summer.
Basel will have the option to extend Buckley's deal beyond the current campaign at St Jakob-Park.
Buckley's loan arrival follows Basel's permanent deal for Brazilian striker Cristiano.
The 25-year-old impressed the club during a recent trial spell and signed a three-year deal after leaving Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade.
Eredivisie clubs ADO Den Haag and NAC Breda were keen to keep the South American hit-man in Dutch football, but Cristiano wanted an adventure abroad.
One player leaving ADO Den Haag is Polish left back Tomasz Rzasa after he headed to Austrian football to sign one-year deal with SV Ried last week.
