Yakubu Aiyegbeni insists he will not buckle under the weight of goalscoring expectation as Everton chase a place in the Uefa Cup.
The fifth-placed Toffees have been forced to rely upon their defence over recent weeks as their strikers have struggled for form in the closing stages of the season.
Yakubu, who has scored 19 goals this term, has netted only once in his last eight league games and Everton have recorded just two victories in that time to open the door for Aston Villa, who sit sixth in the table, in the race for automatic qualification for Europe.
However, Yakubu is vowing to rediscover his goalscoring touch to take the pressure off the Everton backline as David Moyes' side prepare for Sunday's trip to Arsenal.
"The back four this season have been doing a great job, a fantastic job and so have the midfield," Yakubu told Everton's official website. "Everybody in the team is doing a good job.
"Us strikers have not scored in the last four or five games but we have to just keep doing the job and it is thanks to the defenders that we are scoring goals.
"I still believe before the end of the season us strikers can score goals in the last two games.
"We strikers are under pressure when we don't score but I am used to being under pressure but keep working and I still believe I can score goals.
"For me I still believe I will score 20 goals."
