Everton boss David Moyes is determined to bolster his squad after the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Portsmouth.
The Toffees' boss watched Pompey strike pair Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch destroy his side at Goodison Park as his defence failed to deal with the little and large combination of the two England internationals.
But with Manchester United's Louis Saha likely to be signed on Monday, Moyes will be adding the French international to other recruits Lars Jacobsen and Segundo Castillo - with more in the pipeline including a reported offer for Helsingborgs striker Henrik Larsson.
"I am going to try and see if there are still people out there to bring in," he told the club's website.
"I think we have been lacking some quality in the first three games."
With Castillo yet to receive international clearance, Jacobsen lacking match fitness and Moyes having to put players in different positions, the Scotsman has also asked for his more experienced members to step up to the Premier League plate - which sees them with just one win in three games.
"I think it is our senior players who are letting us down at this present time either by not contributing or not defending as well as they should do," he added.
