Saha eyes Euro spot

Toffees striker sets ambitious targets

Louis Saha believes Everton are capable of securing a European spot this season. The Toffees finished fifth in the Premier League last term, narrowly missing out on a coveted UEFA Champions League spot. They were expected to be among those challenging towards the top once again this time around, although a slow start suggested otherwise. A recent revival, though, which has included three consecutive victories, has seen them climb back into contention for a top-five finish. The fine form of Saha has certainly helped their cause, with the Frenchman bagging three goals in his last two outings. A brace against West Ham on Saturday helped David Moyes' men to a 3-1 win, with the former Manchester United man believing the result fully justifies his decision to opt for a move to Goodison Park, rather than Upton Park, over the summer.

No regrets

"The move to West Ham didn't happen but I made the right choice, which is the main thing," said Saha in The Sun. "I have no regrets at all. "It's hard to predict how we will do but I hope to be very close to the top four. We have the team and are now playing better." Having hit the goal trail of late, Saha also revealed his personal target for the current campaign. "It would be nice to get 20 goals - that is a good target," he added.
