Argentine hitman has had a devastating impact in recent games

Denis Stracqualursi is repaying the faith shown in him by Everton boss David Moyes with his brilliant performances says skipper Phil Neville. The 24-year-old signed on loan for the club in the summer but had to wait until last month to make his first appearance for the Toffees after taking time to settle. And the Argentine striker's powerful performances have earned him an extended run in the side and showed why Moyes was right to stick with him. "It would have been easy for the manager to discard him," said Neville. "But because of his attitude he is getting his rewards and it is a great lesson for anyone out there. "He is a throw-back to the good old days of a centre- forward going out there and just eating centre-halves, it reminds me of when I used to go and watch Bury. "You speak to the gaffer and he's played 20 or so years ago and he'll tell you that's what centre-forwards used to do. It was dog eat dog. Denis just runs and runs."
