Walters has been told he will never play for the Ewood Park outfit again after being suspended by the club following an internal investigation into the disappearance of players' belongings.
The 18-year-old has been offered a one-week trial by Stockport boss Carlton Palmer, who is planning for next season after The Hatters were relegated from Division One.
Palmer, though, could face fierce competition for Walters's signature if the prolific striker impresses during his stint at Edgeley Park.
He has recently enjoyed trials at Middlesbrough and Wolves, while Bolton are also keen on the starlet.
Walters was rated as the brightest prospect in Blackburn's youth academy and will be hoping to put his promising career back on track.
