The World Cup defender has admitted receiving an offer from both Wanderers and Marseille, but has decided to remain with Galatasaray.
Sam Allardyce has already added Akin Bulent to his squad this summer, but it does not look as though there will be a second Turkey international winging his way to The Reebok Stadium.
"There were offers from Europe," confessed Bulent Korkmaz.
"Marseille and Bolton Wanderers have made offers for me.
"But Galatasaray is the biggest club.
"I have preferred to stay here."
The 33-year-old played five times in Japan and Korea, and scored against China in the first round.
Another player that has decided to stay with Gala is Ergun Penbe, who has put pen-to-paper on a new five-year contract.
