Lord no!

EXCLUSIVE
N'DIWA LORD-KANGANA has returned to Sweden after his proposed move to Bolton fell through at the 11th-hour, but his agent is still hopeful a deal can be struck this week.

An 18-month deal had been agreed, after Lord impressed during a trial at The Reebok Stadium, but Bolton have revealed they did not receive international clearance in time, so the youngster has returned to Sweden.

A brief statement issued by The Trotters has hinted that a deal could be resurrected with Djurgardens in the summer.

The Trotters have said nothing about trying to push through a deal this week, but the 18-year-old defender`s agent believes that is a distinct possibility.

Former Sweden international Martin Dahlin was aware of a problem last week, but revealed the matter was in the hands of Fifa.

With the clubs aware international clearance was unlikely to be granted ahead of Friday`s deadline, the parties asked Fifa for special dispensation but the case has not yet been reviewed.

Speaking to planetfootball.com, Lord`s agent Dahlin (pictured) said: "We are looking to get special dispensation from Fifa to get the deal done this week.

"As soon as we knew there may be a problem, we asked Fifa for special dispensation but they have 300 similar cases to review so thay have not done ours yet.

"As soon as we are given the all-clear he will travel over to Bolton.

"That is what the player wants and is best for him, so hopefully he will be playing in England soon.

"If it does not happen now, we will do the deal in the summer, it will happen."

In other news, Bolton have played down suggestions that Trotters chief Sam Allardyce was planning to rival Celtic for the signature of Stanislav Varga.

The Slovakian is a free agent, following his release from Sunderland, and travelled to Glasgow in a bid to impress Bhoys boss Martin O`Neill.

Reports suggested Bolton were set to make a rival bid, but the club have since denied this.
