Mansare was watched by the Premiership pair last season, although neither club's need for a striker is pressing due to their summer activity in the transfer market.
The Guinea-born forward is also wanted by Montpellier's French rivals Bastia as his current club prepare to cash in on his services.
The 21-year-old is unaware of Bastia's interest but revealed there had been tentative contact with an unnamed English club at the end of last season.
He has refused to rule out a move to Bastia if the Corsican side step up their hunt but Mansare appears to favour a hop across The Channel.
"I am not aware of anything (regarding Bastia)," said Mansare. "Maybe the two clubs have spoken but no one has notified me.
"I know that Montpellier need cash. That depends on my officials. My agent, in any case, has not spoken to me.
"It is necessary to see what Bastia would offer me. Today, no Corsican official has contacted me, therefore I cannot say if I am interested in Bastia.
"You know, a lot is spoken but nothing happens. At the end of last season, I had contact with English clubs.
"Everyone is interested by England. But it is necessary to see which club."
