Fulham's Hudson, a talented ball-playing centre back arrives for a second spell at Boundary Park, having previously been at The Latics earlier in the season.
The young defender returned to Fulham after picking up an injury in October.
Hudson was a popular figure with the Oldham crowd in his first spell at the club and his presence in the side coincided with a ten-game unbeaten run.
Oldham boss Iain Dowie has secured Hudson for an initial month, although Fulham have stipulated that he will not be allowed to play in next week's FA Cup tie against Blackpool.
Dowie has further strengthened his squad with the capture of Bolton's exciting attacking midfielder Johnson.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has allowed the Jamaican international to join The Latics for three months, with Dowie clearly delighted at securing the services of a long-term target:
He said: "Jermaine is an exciting player with tremendous pace, good technical ability and is unpredictable, as a lot of what he does is off the cuff."
Both signings will provide much relief to Dowie's injury-ravaged squad, with Johnson and Hudson likely to have prominent roles in Oldham's clash with Notts County at the weekend.
