Ex-France international Bernard Diomede is hoping to revive his career with Bolton.Former France international Bernard Diomede is hoping to revive his career with Bolton Wanderers.
Diomede has been training with The Trotters this week and featured in a behind-closed-doors game on Thursday.
The 30-year-old is now waiting to discover if his performances in training have been strong enough to warrant a short-term contract offer from the Premiership side.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has shown a willingness to help players resurrect their careers in recent years and could offer the same chance to Diomede.
The 1998 World Cup winner is available on a free transfer after leaving Ajaccio in the summer, following a forgettable three-year spell at Liverpool.
He failed to earn a contract with Spanish side Espanyol and trained with Manchester City in September but missed out on a deal with Kevin Keegan's troops.
Toulouse were also reported to be keen but he could now grasp a lifeline at The Reebok Stadium as Allardyce mulls over an offer to the midfielder.
