Bolton are considering a summer bid for Hibernian's unsettled midfielder Scott Brown.
Bolton Wanderers are considering a summer bid for Hibernian's unsettled midfielder Scott Brown.
Hibs boss John Collins recently admitted he is resigned to losing Brown at the end of the season, after Kevin Thomson left for Rangers in January.
Celtic had an offer for Brown turned down in January, but could have more success come the summer, when Bolton may also be bidders.
The Scotland international has been watched by the Premiership club this season ahead of a potential swoop.
Trotters first-team coach Ricky Sbragia confirmed the club are keeping tabs on the midfielder, but refused to disclose whether a bid would be lodged.
"I don't think there is any doubt Scott Brown is capable of playing in the Premiership," Sbragia told the Scottish Daily Mail.
"It all comes down to money at the end of the day and what kind of player we decide we need.
"What I would say is you don't like someone to sign for someone else when you've not taken a serious look at them yourselves."
