Bolton have accepted Leeds United's request to extend Lubomir Michalik's loan deal.
Bolton have accepted Leeds United's request to extend defender Lubomir Michalik's loan deal until the end of the season.
The Slovakian international stopper has impressed during his short time at Elland Road and scored the winner against Plymouth at the weekend.
Gus Poyet (pictured) said over the weekend that The Whites were determined to keep Michalik, whose initial one-month spell was due to expire following Monday's game at Colchester.
And Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has agreed to let the 23-year-old continue to help Leeds' fight for survival for the rest of the Championship campaign.
"Lubomir has enjoyed his time at Leeds," Allardyce told the club's official website. "During the month he has been at Elland Road, Leeds haven't lost a game.
"We have been monitoring his performances and the lad has done well.
"To score the winning goal against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday was fantastic and I'm made up for him.
"We do have the option to call him back if we require him, but he is likely to play in all of Leeds' remaining matches this season."
However, Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz Te, who was on loan at Phil Brown's Hull, will return to The Reebok Stadium this week.
