Loan move for Basham

Rochdale have signed midfielder Chris Basham on a three-month loan deal from Bolton. The 19-year-old, who is yet to make his first-team debut for the Trotters, has been limited to playing for the reserves at the Reebok Stadium and goes straight into the Dale squad for the trip to Lincoln on Saturday. Rochdale boss Keith Hill believes the youngster will prove a valuable addition to his squad. "He is a utility player who prefers to be in central midfield," told the club's official website

Admire

"He is a player that we have watched for a long time and one that we admire. "He has been given a long term contract at Bolton and they believe in him. He has possibly gone a little stale in the reserves and may need a new motivation. We are hopefully going to give him that. "We have watched him and wanted to bring him in for a while but we never felt until now that the situation was right."
