Midfielder wants more first-team opportunities

Simon Vukcevic is seeking talks with Sporting Lisbon in regards to his role in the first-team fold. The midfielder is believed to be attracting interest from Premier League side Bolton, and is growing increasingly restless at his limited opportunities in Portugal. The Montenegro international has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot for Sporting, despite scoring seven goals during his limited outings last season. The 22-year-old admits that he has begun to receive offers from elsewhere, but insists that his heart remains at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Priority

"There is talk, it's true," Vukcevic told O Jogo. "Let's see what happens this week, because I want to play, I do not want to stay on the bench. "This is my priority, and, also I think I deserve to play. "Let's talk. I love the club, the fans and the players, but I think I deserve to play."
