Icelander signs from Bolton until end of January

Queens Park Rangers have signed Bolton striker Heidar Helguson on an emergency loan deal. The Iceland international, who scored the winner for his country against Malta on Wednesday, has agreed a deal until the end of January. Helguson has been linked with a move to Loftus Road for the last few weeks and he has now made the switch to the Championship club. The 31-year-old becomes new boss Paulo Sousa's first signing since his arrival at the club earlier this week. Helguson is expected to go straight into the Rangers squad this weekend for the game against former club Watford.
