Reading fixtures: Sky Bet Championship 2017/18

Reading's Roy Beerens celebrates

Reading will begin their bid for promotion from the Sky Bet EFL Championship with a trip to Queens Park Rangers on August 5.

The Royals, who lost to Huddersfield on penalties in May's play-off final, face three tough games to begin their campaign, starting with the trip to Loftus Road.

That is followed by the visit of Fulham in a rematch of last season's play-off semi-final on August 12, and fellow promotion-hopefuls Aston Villa three days later.

They travel to Bristol City on Boxing Day but return home on New Year's Day to face Birmingham City.

And Reading will end their season away to Cardiff City on May 6.
