Little reveals Royals talks

BURNLEY winger Glen Little has revealed that he is closing in on a shock loan move to Division One play-off hopefuls Reading.

Little is a fans favourite` at Turf Moor but says that he is to have talks with Alan Pardew about moving to the Berkshire outfit for the remainder of the season.

Despite the move coming as such a shock, Little says that he would be helping the club out by reducing the wage bill for a few months, while he would also have the chance to help The Royals

"It looks as though something might be happening, and I will be speaking to Reading," said Little.

"I think that Burnley might see this as a good chance for me to help them out by getting off the wage bill for a few weeks.

"We have still got our pride to play for but are too far off the play-offs and this might be a chance for me to be involved in a push for The Premiership. If the club is happy for me to go, then I will help Reading out and then come back to Burnley in the summer.

"Everyone knows I am happy here but I have spoken to a few people and they think it might be a good chance for me at this stage of the season."

Pardew has an ambitious wish-list for deadline day swoops as he looks to seal Luke Chadwick's loan until the end of the season.

He is also chasing Derby's Georgi Kinkladze, Sunderland's Marcus Stewart and Millwall's Neil Harris.
